Intro
Hazelmere is still largely untouched by the urban sprawl. A farming and agricultural community, the areas residents work the land and support the greater population with farming and resources.
Location
Bordering with Langley to the east and the US border to the south, Hazelmere starts at HWY 15 in the west, over to 200th Ave in the east and from 0 Ave at the US border in the south, up to roughly 32nd Ave.
Housing Insights
Equestrian estates and large acreages are much more popular in Hazelmere than any other region in Surrey. If you’re looking for ample space to call your own, or to speculate towards future growth in the lower mainland, this is your calling.
Schools
Hall’s Prairie Elementary and East Kensington elementary support the area with public education for the little ones, and Earl Marriott is the designated high school for the area.
Shopping
In the immediate area, the Campbell River Store is a gathering place for locals looking for groceries, gas and a bank machine. Grandview Corners is only a short drive away with a combination of outlet stores and shops & services such as H&M, Indigo Books, Islands Café, S&L Restaurant. A lot of discount purchases will also be found just across the border in Blaine, Washington.
Recreation
The Hazelmere Golf & Tennis Club is the most popular spot in the neighbourhood to swing a club. If you’re more into hiking, dog walking or horseback riding, the Campbell Valley Regional Park is just on the far side of 200th St and provides an abundance of outdoor recreational space.
